Valspar Championship - Finished T3 at the Valspar Championship, his best result on TOUR since a solo-third at the 2020 Honda Classic. Wells Fargo Championship - Held a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship and went on to finish T5, his first top-10 in three starts at the event. RBC Canadian Open - Lost in a playoff to Nick Taylor at the RBC Canadian Open, finishing runner-up on TOUR for the fifth time in his 119th start. Led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (2.288 per round). U.S. Open - Recorded a final-round 63 at the U.S. Open to finish T5, becoming the first player in tournament history to card multiple scores of 63 or better in the final round in his career. Personal
- When he was a child, he and his father, Pete, used to sneak on to Royal Birkdale. Would later make his first cut in an Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in 2017.
- His wife Clare is also his manager. Along with Clare's two children, the couple have a boy, Franklin, born in October 2017.
- Reads a lot of books including detective stories, historical books and biographies.
- Loves yoga and meditation and uses the Headspace app.
- Watches lots of other sports including football, rugby, darts and loves following Everton Football Club.
