Valspar Championship - Held at least a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds of the Valspar Championship before finishing solo-second, his first career runner-up on TOUR. Made a 71-foot, 1-inch birdie putt at the par-4 12th in the final round, his first career made putt from more than 60 feet. Charles Schwab Challenge - Held a share of the lead entering the final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge and lost to Emiliano Grillo in a playoff, recording his second career runner-up finish on TOUR and second of the season. Marked his first playoff appearance in his 171st start on TOUR. Fell to 0-4 when holding the 54-hole lead/co-lead. John Deere Classic - Finished T4 at the John Deere Classic, his third top-10 in his fifth start at the event.

Personal
- Best friends with PGA TOUR player, Tyler Duncan. Friendship began in 2007 at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin. In the second and final round of the IHSAA state finals. Both ended up at Purdue. Both played for the Boilermakers. Both are graduates of the Krannert School of Management. Duncan and Schenk each qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour. Each secured their PGA TOUR cards in fall of 2017.
- Affiliated with the Dormie Network and plays out of Victoria National Golf Club, home of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, as well as TPC Sawgrass.
- Has a golden retriever, Bunker.
- His hobbies include ping-pong, basketball and spending time at the golf course, beach or farm with Bunker.
- Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and St. Louis Cardinals are his favorite professional teams.
- Avid fan of Purdue athletics, including the football and basketball teams.
- Grew up on a sod and grain farm. Schenk Sod Farm grows corn, beans, wheat and three types of grasses – zoysia, fescue and bluegrass–which his family sells to local golf courses.
