Matt Wallace won the Corales Puntacana Championship by one stroke over Nicolai Hojgaard, earning his first career PGA TOUR title in his 80th career start. Wallace became the fourth player to earn his first TOUR victory at the Corales Puntacana Championship and fifth first-time winner on TOUR of the season.
Denmark’s Højgaard was seeking to become the first non-member to win on TOUR since Garrick Higgo (2021 Palmetto Championship at Congaree) and first sponsor exemption to win on TOUR since Martin Laird (2021 Shriners Children’s Open).
